So far I have steered clear of 'Twilight'...
I didn't want to ruin my illusions about my mother's normally decent (and rather similar to mine, I might add) taste in books. But she has since infected Sis with the Twilight!virus and now Sis is reading the dreaded thing as well. I've only had a glimpse of emeryboard's MSTs of the book for aforementioned reasons, but I think I can risk a look now ;-)

Sis's tastes could not be further for mine. We are totally different, not only in looks, but also in personality. Of course, 'Twilight' has given her a new reason not to work on her essay. I've nearly finished it, only the table of context and the bibliography are still outstanding. I should easily be able to get it done by Sunday evening.

That was kind of my rationale as well: if so many people are reading and loving them, they can't be entirely bad. But after what I have heard from you and others, I think I'm going to stay well away :-)
