Apologies for the lack of updates (once again)...  
but I really needed to catch up on uni work, so the last week or so has been mostly about work. Not just my studies, which take up the bulk of my productive time (I am a full-time student, even though I study exclusively on-line), but also one of my old employers needed someone to fill in a for a few weeks at least and I agreed to do it. I can always use the money and the work isn't too demanding as long as its only a couple of hours a week. Plus, I also decided, in light of my not so great marks on the last assignment and a general feeling that I'm not grasping the course content very well, to devote some more time to my studies than I have in the past few months. In what has to be some sort of personal record, I even got started on my next assignment yesterday, which isn't due for another two and a half weeks. While I have never missed a deadline, I have been pretty close to doing so many times. Yes, I love to procrastinate! ;-)

Another project I have been working on is a (short) non-fiction book. I have been doing research and gathetring ideas for a few months now, but I'm now pretty close to finishing an actual outline for the first draft. I have written fanfiction stories before that required a certain degree of research and I also did that nightmare of a research project/thesis for my degree last year, but I don't think I have ever done as much research as I have for this project. Having access to the on-line library of my university has been a great help, but I shudder at the thought of compiling the bibliography. Never liked doing that and always put it off until the last moment when its for some uni assignment.

Otherwise, not much has been happening in my little corner of the world. Health-wise things have been slowing improving from the total low this past winter, but it still feels like a 'two steps forward, one step backward' kind of thing. I have yet to take up exercise again, but at least I have started to put more effort into meal preparation again. Nothing fancy, but it's a start.
