Had to drag self out of bed early today, going grocery shopping. I so need to do my driver's permit. The thing is that I can drive, I've driven around a lot when I was living in Peru. But it costs at least 1200 to get a driver's permit here, I'll never be able to afford that. So, other's always have to drive me round. Normally I drive shopping by bike, but there are only two stores withing range: one is usually sold out of fresh stuff by 9am (how does that happen), the other doesn't have any stuff that needs refrigeration because a couple of weeks ago the A/C and all that broke and the owner can't afford to fix it. Sometimes I'm not sure whether this is an industrialized country.
Continued searching for my work tax card, i found bunches of interesting stuff (school evaluations, my passport, lots of photographs, dead spiders, unsent letters and the like) just no card. That done, I retreated to the safe haven of the virtual world. Lot's of plans for today, I'm gonna give the DVD authoring another shot and also the movie editing, I'm doing my own intro for the DVD. The crossfading does happen, just not exactly the way it should. But I'm working on it.
Leave it to TVHus guide to come up with very creative summaries of upcoming CSI episodes. Since we are so far behind, this won't be much of a spoiler for anyone.
About Stalker (next week) they wrote:
With the help of the psychic Maurice the CSI team catches a murderer. During the interrogation, the suspicious electrician of a cable TV company throws Nick out of a window and escapes.
Even more suprising is the summary for the next episode. I'm not even sure which one this is, the description is puzzeling and VOX doesn't stick to the righ order. Could be Friends and Lover, but not sure. They (tvhus guide) wrote:
A dog unearthes bones in the dessert. They belong to the seventy years old Mel Bennett. Oddly his wife hasn't reported him missing. But this is isn't the only thing that irritates Detective Gil: there is also the presence of the pathologist Teri, an ex-lover of his.
Amazing isn't it. I remember that a bit differently, besides Detective Gil ?. No wonder nobody watches the show over here.
Big congrats to Marketa and Christina, you both made it
Eveningly trip to the bank all for nothing again. Why can't people transfer my pay on time? This is getting more exhausting by the day. Been drifting through the afternoon again, being on-line and playing tetris, lame I know.
It's evening again and I'm getting scared again, It's just the same every night and I have no idea what to do about it. I feel so stupid, because the next morning it's all fine again until the night when I get panicky again. When I was working nights for the newspaper it was a lot better, maybe because I was too beat to worry.
in an effort to distract myself i did some looking cleaning up, putting the NaOH (used it because I ran out of baking soda) I had used for the cake this week-end back into the basement. While looking over the assorted chemical stuff, which I guess my dad must have brought home from work over the years (isn't anybody missing this stuff?). Anyways among the assorted stuff I also found something labelled Luminol (mixture with sodium sulfate 1:19). I wonder how that got here, and what they use this stuff for. I only played around with it during one lab practical in chem class last year and saw nothing. But I suck at the practical stuff, so maybe there should have been something to see.
