After long consideration, I opted to open my future consideration to options other than Oxford. I haven't ruled it out yet, it's still my number 1 choice, but I'm considering other options. Someone I know at a college near where I leave asked why I didn't consider studying there (living near home and all). So I read up on their programme and it turn out they have a pretty good Biochemistry and Molceular Medicine Programme. I have an appointment tomorrow to have an informal talk about to programme and have a look around. I just called up, told them what I had done before and said I was interested. Plus, I'm meeting the guy I know. He has a car, which is always good.

But I'm pretty nervous about going there. I haven't been out for anything expect work for months and someone drives me there. I have got to take the bus and the train there. Arghh.

I think the fact that you are considering going to and studying at a local university means that you are also might put up with the long way... Mmh.. or maybe you find someone with whom you can share the way and who gives you a lift every day...?! ^^

well, as it turns out, at least my visit there is turning out to be a bust. Much different then what I'm used to from UK universities (as having visted for interviewing during application). In fact I hardly know anyone who went to a German university. I did go to a German boarding school for most my time in school, but the teaching language was English and people came from all over the world.
