5 LEAST FAVOURITE ARCHS:
5. Horror of Fang Rock
No horror or anything much to be seen in this one.
4. Delta and the Bannermen
The one serial I did not want to see after reading the synopsis.
3. Trial of a Time Lord
Assault on the eyes. I haven't even managed to get through all of it yet.
Bizarre, incoherent, plot-holes and OOC. Effects do not an episode make. But apparently I’m the only one who didn’t like this episode.
1. Father's Day
Major OOC. The Doctor is unbelievably naïve in this one. What did he think Rose was going to do?
5 FAVOURITE ARCHS:
5. The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances.
Everybody lives. And Captain Jack.
4. The Five Doctors
Flawed in many aspects (especially casting), but still made of awesome.
3. The Robots of Death
Not sure why I like this one so much, it's probably the one I have rewatched most often.
2. The Runaway Bride
I really like snarky characters and Donna was great.
1. The City of Death
Made of awesome.
5 LEAST FAVOURITE FEMALE COMPANIONS:
Too much teenage angst.
I'm not faulting anyone for boobs, but the accent does it. And she screamed too much.
Hair of dubious colour and style and in the only serial I have seen her in, she screams most of the time.
Damsel in distress.
5 FAVOURITE FEMALE COMPANIONS:
5. Sarah Jane
Uhm. Not much to say about her, but I like her.
Difficult to judge as I have only seen three episodes with her, but she seems courageous and fun.
I love her sense of wonder at the universe, even if her family is annoying.
A bit hard to place her since she was only in the Christmas Special, but I still loved her snarkyness.
1. Romana II
Althought she shares the same rather questionable dress-sense most of the characters on classic DW have, she did her Time Ladyship justice.
5 LEAST FAVOURITE MALE COMPANIONS:
Not sure he/she/it counts as male, but he was totally pointless.
2. Mickey Smith
I always wondered how he ended up with Rose, but I certainly didn’t want to see more of him than neccesary.
Pointless and useless.
I like the idea of the character, but he didn’t come across well.
I’m running out of male companions to dislike. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing…
FAVOURITE MALE COMPANIONS:
5. Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart
He always reminds me of Jack from Stargate.
4. Vislor Turlough
I liked the evil touch.
3. Jack Harkness
Great outfit! He seems to know his way around the universe, unlike most other companions. Or he has way more self-confidence than them.
1. Okay, so the like-list of men is even shorter.
5 FAVOURITE VILLAINS:
4. The Sisterhood of Plenitude
Cat!Nuns with claws.
3. The Rani
2. The Master
He’s dripping with villain clichés, but he’s wonderfully evil.
1. The Daleks
No comment needed.
5 FAV DOCTORS:
I’m ambivalent about him, reserving judgement until I’ve seen more of him, but I have seen hardly anything of one, two, three and eight to have much of an opinion about them.
He gets points for geeky-ness and the manic tendencies, but he’s a bit too over-the-top for me.
Always thought he seemed insane, but I like nutters *shrugs*
Melancholy and tormented Doctor, but with a very cool jacket.
The best outfit! He seemed a bit clueless at times and fainted at every opportunity, but I guess that’s the whumper in me.
