Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I didn't really finish any of the fics that I wanted to finish in 2007. Except 'Past Present' which I did finally finish. I'm not sure how many fics I wrote in total since I can't seem to find some of thme, like my Oernen fics or some SGA one-shots. Anyways, tallying up the wordage, I came to ~120,000 words which is quite more than I expected. However considering that I also did NaNoWriMo, it's not that much.
What's your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
'The Lost'. My first forray into Doctor Who territory and I love how it turned out. Plus I had so much fun writing it.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I got writing in some new fandoms like Doctor Who, Supernatural, Torchwood and Wire in the Blood. I learned that canon is a tricky thing when it comes to Doctor Who, since there are so many episodes and they aren't all consistent with each other. I wrote a short piece from the POV of the TARDIS and it worked out rather well.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Finish 'Zocchihedron' and 'Vital Lies'. Finally edit the rest of 'Ghosts' and 'Journey Man'.
My Best Story of the Year
'The Lost'. Love it. It's got almost everything I like in a story.
Story Most Under appreciated by the Universe in My Opinion
'Judicium Aquae Frigidae'. It would have deserved at least one review for the amount of research that was involved in such a short piece ;-)
Most Fun Story
'The Lost'. It's a whacky little crossover between Doctor Who and Stargate Atlantis. Rodney vs the Doctor ;-)
Most Sexy Story
Uhm. I'm not so. I usually write solid gen. If I had to pick one, I'd say 'Past Present', because Sam is the office slut in it.
Hardest Story to Write
'Past Present'. That one simply refused to flow and ended up full of logic mishaps.
'Ghosts'. I thought a crossover between Supernatural and Wire in the Blood would never ever work out. Plus I wrote it in all of three days because a ficathon deadline was looming. But people seem to like it.
