I wish I could take the weekend off (but I can sneak in some fun)
I was hoping that with only being a part time grad student, on paper at least, I would be able to take weekends off, but with the rather unpredictable pattern of good and bad days that I'm having, it turns out that I have to study whenever my health allows, no matter what day of the week it happens to be. Today isn't such a good day, but for some reason my concentration isn't completely shot, so I've already done quite a bit of work. Mainly general stuff about design and set-up of clinical trials. It's not hard to read as its mostly just simple facts and no complex concepts. The next bit looks a lot more daunting: material of how physiochemical properties of drug molecules influence biological activity. If that sounds kind of random, it is. At least that's what it feels like to me. I'm still working on the introduction of the course. Maybe it will get better when I get to the first main section which deals with heart disease. I should have started with that on Saturday, but I'm a bit (okay, lot) behind schedule.
