NaNoWriMo Progress Meter

To my complete amazement I haven't dropped out of nano yet. Maybe there is something to be said for the escape arguement. But my writing poace has dropped consederably and I'm still not sure whether to keep at it for now.

Totally escaped me that there is aparently a reason to go to the movies today, at least everyone seems to be heading there. Not me.

dont quit nano yet! mines only about 400 words :P but dont quit, you never know when inspiration'll strike!
Illmanillman on November 6th, 2003 05:17 am (UTC)
400 words, what are you writing about?

I'll keep it as an option and will at least try to write every day even if it doesn't turn out to be 50000 words in the end.

well this was my idea:

Always one to eat, sleep and breathe work, Special Agent Sara Evie stays true to her style after the death of her fellow FBI partner - and trainer, Ben Everston. Unwilling to deal with the loss, she accepts another mission straight away: to go undercover in the town of Reina Bay, and uncover the small town's biggest secret; the killer.
What Sara doesn't know is, the town already has it's on own Agent - an ex one. Special Agent Noah Roberts also lost his partner - and wife, in the field. From that moment on, he resigned and never looked back. Now making a living as a writer, the mysterious writer is slowly drawn to both Sara and her case.
With his past remaining unknown, Sara notices the mysterious Noah hovering over her life, and assuming he is using her for his next piece, she is torn between dealing with both her past and her future, all the whilst trying to catch a killer, who has his heart set on Sara as his next victim.

made a few changes though, plot wise but you get the general idea :)

and good idea keeping it as an option, i dont think ill make it to 50000 either but its a start, eh?

Wow, I really like your plot. It doesn't matter of you get to 50000, as long as you get something out for yourself, IMHO. If you normally don't write at all, even a 10000 word story is something. I mainly signed upo because I needed a push to start writing my fic. The idea has been floating around my head for a while, but I never started writing it.

thankyou im glad you like the idea!

what about yours? whats your idea? :)

*takes deep breath*
I'm too lazy to make up my own characters, hence I'm writing a WaT fanfic.

Post Fallout setting, Sam is back to work on her first case, but struggled with her own doubts and jack's overprotective attitude. The case is about the disappearnce of a single mother. The ex-husband who has threatened the victim repeatedly seems a good suspect, but then a friend of the first victim disappears as well. It looks like the same person is responsible. But when they continue their invetsigation they find that they are being stonewalled. Vivian and Jack get into a heated dsiagreement about how to proceede. While Jack tries to get to the bottom of this in Washington, Danny and Sam vanish while tracking down a possible location of the missing women.

That's pretty much it. I have a happy ending in mind, but not really sure how to get there yet.

ooh fanfic sounds like a wonderful idea!

it sounds just like an ep, too. like a good summary, if i were reading in a magazine it'd seem totally real :)

well, I wanted to make it easy on myself. That way I only have to come up with a plot *g* I think it's a bit über-angsty, but that's what beta-readers are for, right? j/k
